Welcome

Thai Massage (Nuat Thai) has a traditional history in Thailand for being a therapeutic form of massage affecting both the Energetic (SEN) and Physical systems of the body.

Modern Thai Massage has become very popular in both the East and West, but it is usually practiced and taught as relaxation massage in comparison to other more diagnostic and therapeutic styles of massage such as Structural Integration (Rolfing) or Sports Therapy Massage.

This style of Therapeutic Thai Massage aims to correct Energetic and Structural (bone, tendon, muscle and joint alignment) problems in the body. Most of the work in this style is based mainly upon on using your thumbs to open and reposition the Energy lines correctly. Another portion of the work utilizes the feet, knees and elbows for specific deep muscle release or repositioning.

This work is generally stronger, but can be lightened for people who are elderly or sensitive to pain. It is up to the practitioner to vary the amount of power (using bodyweight) SLOWLY from 10 – 100%, in order for the receiver to be able to relax into the work.
